Tokyo, Japan
Hi, my name is Chen-Chieh Liao (廖振傑), an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Science Tokyo. I also serve as a Guest Researcher at The University of Tokyo and as a Data Scientist at Rinji Advice Co., Ltd.
I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Institute of Science Tokyo under the supervision of Prof. Hideki Koike. Before my current position, I worked as a Researcher at the Institute of Science Tokyo, an Associate Researcher at Cygames, a Visiting Researcher at Keio University, an AI Researcher at NAVER Cloud, and an Algorithm Engineer at ACES, Inc.. I also received my B.E. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2020 and 2022.
My research lies at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Machine Learning, and 3D Vision. I build intelligent interactive systems for skill acquisition, with a particular focus on pose prediction for sports training, 3D body and hand pose estimation, and VR/AR visualization techniques for learning and analysis.
